Service: ASSET TRACKING
About Ribby Hall Ribby Hall is an award winning Spa Hotel in Wrea, near Preston. The multi million pound hotel was originally opened in August 2011 and has a range of facilities including an outdoor swimming pool and sauna.
Ribby Hall offers a range of spa treatments and therapies. In addition to the spa facilities, which include a hydrotherapy and aqua thermal spa, there is a brassiere with two AA Rosettes, champagne bar and a gym.
The adult only Spa Hotel is open 365 days a year and is situated in 100 acres of countryside on Lancashire's Fylde Coast.
The Security Challenges Studies show that around 68% of guests have taken an item from at least one hotel visit. When it comes to budgeting the operating costs, the fact that many hotel guests often take items means that many items need to be replaced long before the end of their natural lifespan, and this inevitably affects profit.
Ribby Hall is no different having suffered from the loss of robes and towels that amounted to a loss of many thousands of pounds per year. The owners of the Spa Hotel decided that security measures needed to be introduced to ensure that the robes and towels could not be removed from the premises.
Our Solution AOS understood the need for a discreet system that blended with the relaxed atmosphere of Ribby Hall.
A loop tagging system has been installed, including the use of robe tags in an indestructible plastic casing. The tags, which are sewn into the robes and towels are strong enough to withstand industrial washing.
The loop system sits discreetly around the main exit doorframe, including a slim line single antenna that does not interfere from the Spa exit. The attempted removal of a tagged item triggers an alarm. The existence of the system is an excellent deterrent. Nearly two years on, AOS continues to work in partnership with Ribby Hall.
