Security tagging is primarily used to prevent shoplifting. Sensor tags or labels are fixed to merchandise and the system has a detection mechanism at the exit of a premises. If an item of merchandise passes through the detection system with an attached security tag, it will trigger an alarm which alerts staff to a potential shoplifter so that hey can then take the appropriate action.
Security tagging is most commonly used in retail stores, libraries, offices and other businesses where merchandise is on display and property can be removed.
AOS has been providing security tagging systems for many years and recommends tagging solutions to many well-known retail stores, such as Liberty.
